From this page, you can download additional software that shows the OpenMOIV features.

Demo Application

The demo application is a simple molecular viewer. In the demo you will be able to open molecules (PDB or MOL standard molecular file formats) and interact with them in realtime. The application is platform independent (it has been tested in Win32, Linux and IRIX).

Note: Win32 binary has been linked with fl-inventor toolkit and FLTK. Linux binary has been linked with OSS Open Inventor, SoFl and FLTK. IRIX binary has been linked with Inventor Toolkit and SoFl and FLTK. More information can be found inside the packages.

Note: Useful guides to compile the demo can be found inside the package. The packages contain project files for CMake (qmake will be added soon).

The demo application has been tested with SoQt, SoWin and SoFl. Some functionalities are not implemented in the SoWin configuration. It's foreseen to update the demo to support SoXt.

In order to compile the demo application, you should have the following software installed in your system:

- SGI Inventor Toolkit, OSS Open Inventor, SIM Coin or TGS Open Inventor
- SoQt, SoWin or SoFl
- Qt runtime libraries (only if you are using SoQt)
- FLTK runtime libraries (only if you are using SoFl)
